Support to academics.   Birkeland Innovation helps researchers at the University of Oslo protect and commercialize their inventions in order to bring innovative products to market and create value for the inventors and the University. Report new ides to Birkeland Innovation by sending this DOFI.   On first contacting Birkeland the researcher is allocated a project manager who will work with the researcher to manage the activities involved in patenting, licensing and/or setting up a spin-out company. Your project manager will guide you through the principles of commercializing inventions based on academic research and advise you on how your project could be made into an application.
