FORNY Verification Grant

FORNY Verification Grant, also called "FORNY verifiseringsmidler", is a funding mechanism with the purpose to meet the need for funding in the proof of concept phase in a commercialization project based on knowledge and research.

Commercialisation Scholarship

The Commercialisation scholarship, or the "FORNY kommersialiseringsstipend", is a scholarship specially designed for researchers working at universities and research institutions in Norway, working for commercialising their idea or invention. The intention is to give the researchers the opportunity to work concentrated on the commercialisation project for a certain time, by buying him or her free from research and education obligations at the university or research institution. It is the government’s intention that this mechanism will stimulate and increase the innovation from research.

Further Funding of Innovation Projects

New businesses need significant amounts of money to become successful. Technology start-up companies and innovation projects gain most of their first funding through various grants from government agencies and the Research Council of Norway. Birkeland Innovation provide service in applying for further government funding, and when the company is ready, introduce it to investors and seed- and venture capital funding

The Research Council of Norway

SkatteFUNN is a system for tax deduction of R&D expenses in all enterprises, in order to encourage innovation and increase the value of trade and industry. Closing date for applications: December 31st
